Our Journey
From a dream in 2013 to becoming Vancouver’s #1 boat dealer, John turned his passion into a thriving business. What started as a vision has grown into a trusted name in the boating community, where every sale is a step in our continued success story.
John and Sherrill Simpson grew up in beautiful Kamloops BC. In 1999, the two bought their first Malibu. Having always had a deep rooted love for the outdoors and a passion for the water, John and Sherrill instantly fell in love with their Malibu product. John enjoyed the honesty of the product and the couple decided to take on two more and began selling Malibu as a home based business. After some patience and perseverance, the business started to take off and River City Marine began. That was over 19 years ago now and the business has changed immensely.
Now John and Sherrill run a family business that originally started in Kamloops BC, and has now moved to Abbotsford BC. This has allowed us to grow in the aluminum market as Thunder Jet’s® largest dealer. It is our privilege and honor to now be representing Grady-White® boats in the Greater Vancouver area as of fall 2018.
Over the course of their lives, John and Sherrill have owned many different boat makes and models. Through their experience they have discovered that some boat manufactures have mastered the ability to make a product that offers genuine quality.
